As they get close to reaching the 1 month mark, it's amazing how much they grow and how quickly. Eyes are open, ears are open and they are very vocal. They have also learned to get out of the whelping box. So already they have been moved to the next room. Makes it harder to get their momma to them, but hubby & I have done this before so we are ok with it. Plus now it gave me an excuse to get hubby ready for the next litter. Alexis is due in 5 days...oh my...but in the meantime enjoy these new pics of Ruby litter.

Danes in the Grove - puppy pictures
Oh my they are getting so big & most of them have their eyes open. The two biggest boys are slacking on the job. I am sure they will start to open tomorrow. Love seeing them get bigger...and can't wait to really start playing with them. Love my little babies. All pictures & stories can be seen on FB @ Danes in the Grove

Danes in the Grove - puppy pictures
It was a week yesterday since the birth of these precious babies. All are doing so well & getting bigger everyday. "Girlie Girl" has started opening her eyes at day 6...amazing. The boys are trudging behind in that department. She is still the smallest but I am thinking she is going to kick the boys butt when they get older. Strong little thing that she is. One of the puppies has found a home. He was formally known at puppy #6 or "Hoss" but now he is known by Ollie, short for Oliver. He is the biggest and oh my goodness so laid back. However last night he was making some odd noises. Something between a growl, a bark & a cry...all of this while he was sleeping, silly baby. Here are the latest pics of these precious little ones.

Danes in the Grove - puppy pictures
Well the week started out with a bang. Sunday Ruby went into labor and very quickly & without any hiccups she delivered 7 healthy babies. 6 boys & 1 girl. Here are 3 of the babies. I had to stop because contrary to what I want to do the puppies were demanding their dinner so me & my camera left them alone. They are soooo sweet. Day 3 below :0)

Elf in Wood - cross stitch
Page 8 of 36 is now complete. This will more than likely be the last update of this one until next year. About to have 2 litters & with the other WIP (Dragon Rip & Periwinkle) I don't think there is any time left this year. It has been absolutely wonderful stitching this one. I love the type of fabric I have for this one, the colors of the threads & just really how lovely this piece of work is. Well here it is :0)

Elf in Wood - cross stitch
Completed page 7 of 36. Started this page 10/15/14 & finished it 10/27/14. Total of 10 stitching days. It's funny the ones I love doing I seem to take my time working on them. I don't want to finish the pages because I know that Dragon Rip is right around the corner. Yes, I love Dragon Rip, but just hate the fabric...and hate it even more after working with fabric that I enjoy.

Dragon Rip by Anne Stokes - cross stitch
Finally completed another row. SOOOOO thrilled. I finished pages 16, 17 & 18. Started these pages 9/12/14 & finished them on 10/14/14. Total actual stitching days were 19. Not bad, but it helps when there is a bit of one color in the background. He is coming along very nicely :0)

Periwinkle - cross stitch
Periwinkle by Rachel Anderson. Page 3 completed. Being stitched 1 over 1 on 28ct fabric. I don't know what the fabric is but the pictures just don't do it justice. It's dyed different shades of light green with yellow. And then sparkles....love it :0). Started stitching this page 8.29.14 & finished it 9.12.14. Didn't stitch on it for just a couple of days. Total stitching time for this WIP was 12 days. First picture is the whole project, second picture is the closeup.
